Made in the USA, ToughSonic ultrasonic sensors automate liquid level measurement, provide distance ranging, protect expensive assets, and enhance safety.

Choose ToughSonic-100 sensors for accurate, non-volatile liquid level measurements in a variety of industries, and in indoor, outdoor, and environmental conditions.

Advanced Features of the TS-100.14

ToughSonic-100 sensors live up to their name with rugged stainless-steel housings, epoxy-potted electronics, a wide operating temperature range, and reliable performance in harsh conditions.

The TS-100.14 is a popular choice due to its versatile measurement range and proven performance in liquid level and distance ranging applications.

Users of Senix's real-time ultrasonic technology benefit from continuous inventory visibility and seamless integration with control systems for industrial automation.

  • High Ingress Protection: TS-100 ultrasonics hold IP68, NEMA-4X, and NEMA-6P ratings for high resistance against dust and water.
  • Built-In Temperature Compensation: Sensors maintain accuracy in fluctuating temperatures with built-in tools and optional reference target accessories.
  • User-Friendly Configuration: Set up and adjust sensor configurations using the SensorView™ PC app or the onboard push-button.
  • RS-485 or RS-232 Options: Choose from standard (analog and serial) or serial-only ToughSonics to best meet your system integration needs.

Common Applications for Senix TS-100.14 Sensors

ToughSonic-100.14 ultrasonic sensors maintain consistent, reliable accuracy in short-to-mid-range level and distance measurement applications.

Liquid Tank Levels

Liquid Tank Levels

Non-contact measurement of bulk liquid handling tanks: water storage, industrial inventory, or sanitary batch mixers.

Roll Diameter

Roll Diameter

Monitor paper, foil, plastic, and metal roll diameter in environments where a longer measurement range than the TS-100.03 is required.

Open Channel Flow

Open Channel Flow

Mount ultrasonics under bridges, above roadways, off coasts, or in flood-prone areas for open air water level monitoring and snow level detection.

ToughSonic sensors can be integrated with house controls, SCADA, and PLCs, plus connected to SensorView software for in-depth configuration

Versatile Data Communications

All sensors include serial data communications to connect with SensorView™ software and existing equipment, SCADA systems, PLC devices, or house controls.

  • Better noise immunity in industrial environments
  • Allows longer cable lengths at higher baud rates

Multiple Outputs for Peak Connectivity

  • Analog 0-10 VDC and 4-20 mA
  • Sinking (NPN) or Sourcing (PNP) switch configurable
  • Serial data communications available with RS-232 and RS-485 sensors

Automate Data Delivery

One factor that sets ToughSonic ultrasonic sensors apart is remote monitoring with BinCloud® software.

BinCloud allows operators, controllers, and supervisors to view inventory levels and actionable insights from a phone, tablet, or PC anywhere with internet connection.

  • Get real-time data without manual level measurements
  • View one bin, all vessels at one worksite, or multiple plants at once with the MultiView interface
  • Receive automated text and/or email alerts when pre-determined high or low levels are reached
  • Identify trends and support smart fulfillment with current, historical, and forecasted reports
  • Schedule orders, deliveries, or pick-ups within the app, or queue re-orders with one click
  • Access all inventory anywhere, anytime

For plants with secure IT policies where data must be locally stored, Senix sensors are also supported by Binventory® 2.0 by BinMaster.

Configuration as Easy as 1, 2, 3

Senix ultrasonic sensor configuration is done via SensorView™ software for Windows PC. Simply connect a sensor via a serial data port to set up and adjust over 80 settings.

Setup kits provide ToughSonic users with everything they'll need to connect through a USB port: a power supply, sensor-PC interface, and the necessary cables.

Software that Simplifies Your Sensor Setup

SensorView software allows users to calibrate and adjust over 80 ToughSonic ultrasonic sensor settings.

The comprehensive software ensures sensors' health and performance. Users can program sensors anytime, and from anywhere.

Configurations are stored in the sensor's non-volatile memory for ease of duplication when scaling up systems.

  • Analogs: Adjust slope, distance endpoints, analog value limits
  • Switches: Set points, window features, time delays
  • All Outputs: Power on, loss of echo, loss of sync responses
  • Serial Data: Communications, plus SYNC modes and functions
  • Measurements: Temperature compensation, sensitivity, data filters, measure rate, gain settings, and data processing filters

Push-Button Configuration

Senix pioneered the "push-button setup" method for ultrasonic sensors in 1990. This same technology has since been adapted by level sensor manufacturers worldwide.

The TS-100.14 sensor's rear push button allows users to:

  • Perform in-situ setup without the use of a computer or software
  • Set analog output endpoint distances
  • Establish switch on and off distances
  • Set switch polarity & measurement rates
  • Synchronize multiple ToughSonic sensors via SYNC mode
  • Activate or deactivate temperature compensation settings
  • Restore a sensor to its factory default mode
