Continuous Measurement
Sensors measure so people don't have to. Monitor ingredients, fuels, chemicals, or any other liquid's levels.
ToughSonic® ultrasonic sensors and non-contact radar sensors offer cost-effective, continuous level monitoring and measurements for small, mid-size, and large tanks. They are installed at the top of the tank to provide non-contact liquid and/or chemical measurements.
Senix ultrasonics are easy to install into standard fittings, adaptable to a wide variety of liquids and liquid environments, and can be used both indoors and out. Radar sensors include pigtail-wired, 1.5" NPT process connection, and wireless options for ease of setup.
Both ultrasonic transmitters and radars can integrate with local networks for convenient on-site monitoring or BinCloud® software for remote and multi-site monitoring.
Where there's a tank, there's a need for a tool to measure it. Senix ultrasonic indicators and radar level sensors offer continuous measurements, allowing workers and operators to know the exact amount of inventory available.
Some liquid ingredients may foam, emit vapors, or cause condensation. Many can be reflective, opaque, or dark.
Both ToughSonic® ultrasonic and compact non-contact radar sensors are resistant to harsh environments, ensuring accuracy in even the toughest processing or environmental conditions.
Even optical characteristics—such as lighting or reflectivity—do not impact measurements.
Choose Senix level sensors to automate the way you monitor and manage tank inventory—from sanitary processing, chemical handling, fuel storage, and every industry in between.
Nearly every industry stores liquids, ingredients, or chemicals in tanks. Senix sensors provide real-time visibility to make inventory management easier—and safer.
Continuous Measurement
Sensors measure so people don't have to. Monitor ingredients, fuels, chemicals, or any other liquid's levels.
Precise Batch Control
Ensure adequate inventory and proper dosing, from cement to animal feed to food processing.
Industrial Automation
Ultrasonic sensors integrate with existing automation systems for added process control and redundancy.
Critical Level Alerts
Maintain tank levels by getting alerted when liquid levels are too low or too high.
Automated Process Controls
Control pumps or valves manually from a PLC or automate sensors to trigger processes at certain levels.
Whether measuring water for cooling equipment, ingredients feeding into food or beverage batching processes, or fuel storage tanks, ToughSonic® ultrasonic transmitters from Senix perform reliably in even the harshest conditions.
General-Purpose Sensors: ToughSonic-100 Series
Chemical-Resistant Sensors: ToughSonic-200 Series
ToughSonic sensors are well-suited for dependable liquid level measurements in tanks—and processing environments—of all kinds.
ToughSonic general-purpose sensors are built with rugged construction, corrosion-resistant materials, a wide operating range, and IP68 ingress rating. This intentional design makes measuring liquids a breeze.
Products are offered in a variety of distance ranges to accommodate tanks ranging from 6 in. (15 cm) to 50 ft. (15.2 m). Choose from mounting threads and additional accessories. All sensors include analog, switch, and data interfaces with compatible setup software.
Senix’s chemical sensors expand the range of environments in which ToughSonics thrive. ToughSonic-200 sensors are molded from polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), or Kynar®, a highly non-reactive thermoplastic that resists solvents, acids and hydrocarbons. Smart electronics are fully sealed to ensure their longevity.
TS-200 ultrasonics include top and bottom mounting threads and a potted-in, PUR-jacketed, UV-resistant cable. Review the Kynar compatibility chart here.
Analog & switch outputs are compatible with most industrial equipment, plus a serial data communications option.
Outputs are user-configured in SensorView™ software. Setup values are stored in each sensor and can be saved and duplicated in others without need for re-calibration.
Analog outputs can be proportional to tank volume. Switch outputs can be configured to control pumps and valves, or indicate low or high alarm conditions.
Non-contact radar sensors tend to be the superior choice in tank measurement applications that require extremely targeted precision or longer measurement ranges.
Compact non-contact radars (CNCRs) from Senix measure in a precise 8° beam angle, ideal for vessels with internal structure or agitators.
Sensors offer sophisticated measurement accuracy within ±0.08 in. (2 mm) for liquids, slurries, or bulk solids.
