Versatile Liquid Measurement and Automation Sensor

About the ToughSonic®-100.30

ToughSonic®-100 series non-contact sensors feature heavy-duty electronics, stainless-steel housings, and ruggedized piezoelectric transducers to ensure long-lasting accuracy and efficiency, both indoors and outdoors.

Made in the USA, ToughSonic ultrasonic sensors automate liquid level measurement, provide distance ranging, protect expensive assets, and enhance safety.

Choose ToughSonic-100 sensors for accurate, non-volatile liquid level measurements in a variety of industries, and in indoor, outdoor, and environmental conditions.

Advanced Features of the TS-100.30

ToughSonic-100 sensors live up to their name with reinforced stainless-steel housings, epoxy-potted electronics, and rugged performance in agriculture, industrial, and environmental conditions.

TS-100.30 ultrasonics are engineered for wet, dirty, and outdoor conditions.

Their low-maintenance design is well-suited for automation and material handling applications in manufacturing plants or on worksites.

  • Precise Ultrasonic Technology: Continuous non-contact measurements detect even the smallest changes in liquid level or target positioning.

  • Reliable Data Transmission: Serial communications enables easy integration into existing systems including equipment, control rooms, and PLCs.

  • Advanced Measurements: ToughSonic sensors feature a minimal dead zone, built-in temperature compensation, and are not affected by optical characteristics like color and transparency.

Common Applications for Short-to-Mid-Range Ultrasonic Sensors

Senix's ToughSonic-100.30 is a versatile, economical sensor used for water level monitoring, liquid ingredient measurement, process automation, and industrial distance ranging.

Configuration As Easy as 1, 2, 3

Ultrasonic sensor setup, calibration, adjustment, and duplication is done via SensorView™ software for Windows PC, FREE with every purchase of a ToughSonic transmitter.

ToughSonic sensors connect to a PC using a serial data port for initial setup. Any following configuration can be conducted remotely with the click of a button.

The easy-to-use software offers users several adjustable features for simple installation: measurement rate, window of measurement, target filters, and quick cloning for ease of scalability.

Ultrasonic Setup with SensorView™ Software

Fine-tune over 80 parameters of ToughSonic sensors using SensorView software.

Ultrasonics can be adjusted to each application's unique requirements. Calibrate output distances, specify sensor sensitivity, and so much more.

Analysis features include statistical displays, historical logging, and exportable reports to support research and development, logistics, and smarter business decisions.

  • Adjust slope, distance endpoints, and analog value limits
  • Specify set points, window features, and time delays
  • Define outputs: power on, loss of echo, loss of sync responses
  • Run test features to ensure sensor performance and health
  • Apply temperature compensation, data filters, measure rate, gain settings, and data processing filters

Onboard Push-Button Configuration

In 1990, Senix pioneered the "push-button setup" method for ultrasonic sensors. This convenient standard is still implemented in today's ToughSonic-100 ultrasonic sensor models.

TS-100.03, TS-100.14, and TS-100.30 sensors include the push-button for in-situ setup and output distance configuration.

  • Perform sensor adjustment without a PC or software
  • Set analog output endpoint distances
  • Establish switch on and off distances
  • Set switch polarity & measurement rates
  • Enter, exit, and manage SYNC mode to synchronize several ToughSonic sensors
  • Restore a sensor to its factory default settings
