Wireless Monitoring

Need to know how much diesel fuel is in a tank, how high the water level is under the bridge, or whether the chicken feed will last longer than the chickens? Get all the answers with wireless monitoring: ToughSonic® sensors and AirWire® LoRa Wireless Technology!
AirWire gets answers to your desk or mobile device quickly, safely, and inexpensively with LoRa spread-spectrum wireless technology.
Wireless monitoring enables remote data collection and analysis by wirelessly transmitting data to a central system or cloud for real-time monitoring. Eliminate the need for manual checks and extensive wiring.
This connectivity is particularly useful in remote or harsh environments, allowing data-driven decisions to be made quickly.
No cellular charges. Latest IoT standards. Low power requirements. Secure wireless. YOU own it!

AirWire LoRa is designed to provide real-time measurements from distances up to 10 miles depending on terrain, antenna elevation, and line of sight.
LoRa is derived from the words Long Range and leads many applications at low power, low cost, and impressive range performance.
AirWire collects level data from monitor sites and compiles it for your use. It displays and alerts to level or volume conditions. Get 50,000-100,000 measurements out of three D-cell batteries!
Senix LoRa is less expensive than running conduits inside buildings, as no wiring or power is needed on wireless monitoring sites. Reduce labor and increase safety by monitoring liquid levels remotely.

Why Choose LoRa?
AirWire is long range and able to handle many nearby applications with ToughSonics in use. Use it to get continuous measurement rates, multiple times per hour, available as fast as 15 seconds. Wireless monitoring has never been so simple.
Ensure your measurements and data are kept private and authentic with high security. Data can be restricted to company Local Area Network (LAN) or connected to cloud services.
Meet all IoT standards and integrate data with existing applications—all in one handy tool.
How AirWire Works
At each worksite, a Level Transmitter and Level Sensor measure the distance to the monitored liquid or material.
Distance measurements are periodically—and wirelessly—transferred to a Receiver-Gateway that presents levels on a company LAN, send email alerts for high or low level conditions, and/or transfer data to an external application, either locally or on the cloud.

AirWire Level Transmitter
Level Transmitters connect with and control a Senix RS-485 interfaced ultrasonic level sensor, then send each level measurement to the Receiver-Gateway.
Powered by battery, AirWire transmitters automatically maximize battery life by going to “sleep” between measurements. They are best intended for measurement rates of a few times per hour.
Each transmitter has an IP66-approved enclosure with a waterproof cable entry gland. Attach to a sensor cable or relocate with extension cable for increased wireless range, if needed.
AirWire LoRa Receiver-Gateways
The Receiver-Gateway accepts level measurements from one or more Level Transmitters. They provide the data for level and link statuses, indicate high or low levels, and send email alerts.
If the transmitters are within range of public LoRa services, a cloud-based application can be used in lieu of the receiver-gateway. Cloud-based services can also be provided simultaneously by transferring the level data stream through the receiver-gateway to the cloud.
Receiver-gateways are configured to customer-specific needs:
Basic Receiver Gateway | Flex Gateway | Outdoor Gateway |
Plastic housing | Metal housing | IP67 aluminum housing |
Internal antenna | Rear-attached, bendable antenna | Attached antenna |
Surface, wall, or ceiling mounted |
Surface mounted | Elevated outdoor mounting |
